Quick Update

It’s one of the busiest times of the year here at the Greet Ranch so I just wanted to give you a quick rundown of what was going on before I snuck off to sleep. The week started with AIing our yearling heifers. My brother did most of the actual AIing because my hand still isn’t quite up to par. My sister also came over and helped doing quite a few herself. The first day we worked them was really rainy, but the sun came out and it was good weather for the rest of the project. The corral was a muddy mess the whole time though.

After AI was over we started gathering our cows out of the badlands. We bring them in for our big branding this week and then sort them out to different breeding pastures. The good news is the river is starting to go down without the flooding getting any worse. It did manage to do some damage, unfortunately.
