Drone Practice
I hope you all had an AMAZING Christmas. Ours was wonderful. We went and spent a few days with Megan’s family. It was good to see them and we got to enjoy some really nice weather. We all got incredibly spoiled like usual.
Before I left, I used the drone to look for some calves that were missing and took a few pictures and a short video. I am by no means good at taking drone videos or anything, but it doesn’t hurt to practice a little. The video is over the steer calves that had been fed some hay. I was too high for a good view and it’s not a smooth video. You can make out the calves eating and some of them headed to get a drink.
And below you can see the photos I took. The high perspective lets you see how much snow we have had. Some of this snow has left, but we received a little bit of snow the last couple days to replace it. The first picture below is looking out toward the badlands. You can’t see where our cows are at, but you can get an idea of what it looks like.
This photo is one looking back on the field where the steer calves are eating. It’s a look toward the mountains that I really think looks beautiful. It’s great how the drone gets you up high enough to look up the slope to the top of the mountain.
Lastly, I took a photo looking up the valley. The highway stretches into the distance and to the right of it the river winds its way up as well.
I realize they are not professional photographs, but it was fun the practice an little with the drone. Maybe I will improve with it in the future.
